SOW 1.2 and 2.2 · the County’s complete classification structure

All 913 classifications, by unit, with their published ranges

Attachment 1 lists each class by job code and bargaining unit. We joined it to the salary table the Department of Human Resources publishes, so every class below shows its current minimum and maximum, its pay structure and the date the range last changed.

What the structure tells us before kickoff

Three things shape the benchmark plan. First, the professional, middle management and public services units of SEIU Local 221 together hold classes, about a third of the study, so benchmark selection inside those units carries most of the alignment work. Second, the unclassified and unrepresented management groups (EM, UM, CE, CEM, MA) hold classes on open ranges and step schedules; executive classes are often unique, so they need documented proxy matches or a written finding that no comparable class exists (SOW 4.6). Third, the County compares top of range to top of range (SOW 5.3), and range widths vary across units, so we report the minimum comparison alongside it to show where entry pay and career pay diverge.
